Height: 1,493 feet

Location: Shimoga district, Karnataka

Location: Mayurbhanj district, Odisha

Nohkalikai Falls

Height: 1,115 feet

Location: East Khasi Hills district, Meghalaya

Nohsngithiang Falls or Seven Sister Falls

Height: 1,033 feet

Location: East Khasi Hills district, Meghalaya

Yet another breathtaking waterfall situated in paradise called Meghalaya. Nohsngithiang Falls is a segmented waterfall made from seven streams, thus, also called the Seven Sister Falls. In a way, it symbolises the seven sister states of the north east of India. The unique aspect about the fall is that the water cascades over limestone terrain.



Dudhsagar Falls

Height: 1,020 feet

Location: South Goa District, Goa

This is a 4 tiered waterfalls that is a sheer beauty and one of the iconic attractions of India’s party state – Goa. Like the name suggests, the water appears as if milk is flowing down the rocky cliffs. The best way to see Dudhsagar Falls is to board a train on the Madgaon-Belagaum rail route – you can see the might of the waterfall in front of you.



Kynrem Falls

Height: 1,001 feet

Location: East Khasi Hills district, Meghalaya

This state is riddled with jaw-dropping waterfalls and it is home to another remarkable fall - the Kynrem Falls, a 3 tiered waterfall. When the rain clouds are low and hang over the mountains, it feels like pure water is gushing from heaven. If you trek to the top, you can get an excellent view of Bangladesh’s plains. If you are at the base of the fall, you can swim in the turquoise pool that is just refreshing.
